Wealth, Happiness & The Emerging Self-Leader

First, I would like to to thank Mark Hamilton for introducing me to Neothink.

Second, on the subject of the secret to Wealth & Happiness, I believe that identifying my downstream focus and Friday-Night Essence will help me forge my path to Wealth & Happiness. In my case, writing and counseling others are two activities that I have actually engaged in over the last few years (informally) on some Friday & Saturday nights. In order to actualize my development as a Self-Leader, I started analyzing my current job duties as a Sterile Processing Technician for a major hospital in my city, looking for the Areas of Responsibility that govern my various duties. I am building integrated knowledge of the business operations of the SPD unit’s connections to the Surgical, Clinical, Emergency and Acute Care operations of the hospital. The current Project Curiosity that I’m engaged in, is helping me to better understand the problems created by disjointed specialization, but, more importantly,to see the opportunities for value creation within the organization.

I am currently torn between developing Business and Writing mini-days around my 3PM-11PM job and the prospect of directing my focus solely toward a health care related business. I find that my passion about health care issues and the numerous institutional deficiencies of the Not-For-Profit hospital structure that I am discovering through my daily on-the-job research is increasing. In the meantime, thanks to Neothink, I am learning how to play the Game of Life and enjoying my evolution into God-Man.
