Integratiion ? level 1- retired- Why selected?

I have just finished the level 1 meeting. I was impressed about value creation. I welcome a chance to learn and keep improving.
I have completed only some of the required reading in all of three volumes.
I am retired since last year and I am now 71. I have spent the last year happily enjoying life at various sports and games (tennis , fitness, bowling and pool) , entertainment ( TV, movies ) and my first ocean cruise to the bahamas. I have done some reading for pleasure and some for learning and knowledge.(neotech packages)

Here is my question. Why is was selected at this time in my life to join the secret society?
