Friday Night Essence

Hi Mark – I’ve been learning much through the three Heirloom packages. I know that my Friday Night Essence is to create music. I am a guitarist and am working on an instrumental guitar album. It truly does give me a sense of exhilaration when I hear tracks that I have recorded and can feel proud of. My challenge is not so much stagnation but that of effective use of my time. I tend to start projects and not finish them. I think this has to do with fear of failure. If I don’t finish I can’t fail – I just have no possibility of succeeding either. Doing my best to implement DTC and Mini-Days to increase my efficiency. The Life Chart is a valuable tool to help inspire me to get moving. This concept of ‘playing at life’ is not totally new to me but seeing it used in tandem with value creation is a powerful concept. I feel like my music is value production and I’m still trying to put together a puzzle-picture of what it would be like to be a value creator with my music – to create music that’s truly never been heard before. I’m skilled at integrating musical ideas from various sources to create my own music but I struggle with the belief/idea that I’m not really being a value creator with my compositions. That to me would require some radical new tuning system or way of experiencing music unknown to mankind right now. Have a good one…
