A different perspective

First off Mark, I would like to tell you how I’ve been blown away by your writing. I am 65, retired for 14 years and I am like Saul, a retired postal worker of 31 years. I sacrificed value creation for an environment that gave me stability but no chances of really showing my abilities as a leader. I couldn’t get promoted because my superiors were afraid of my intelligence and my ability to do anyone’s job with little or no training. In essence, I was too powerful, so I was kept down and went absolutely nowhere. I called my Friday night essence my niche, when I retired, got a degree at age 50 and worked in a direct mailing company, till I got fired for asking for what i was worth. I suffer from clinical depression and social anxiety, and for me wealth and true happiness means having friends, since I have none, and finally getting the chance to prove myself as a leader.
