seeing more clear the pictures

since reading all three books, i can see pictures coming together on projects i am working on. My issue is holding the picture in my mind long enough to document the steps to complete writing them down.
question. Is there a process for me to practice on keeping my mind focused on the one subject. I tend to drop the thought before completion.
