Level 1

I was brought up in a literary family; my dad was a science and health editor and writer, and indeed he played at his work because he loved it so much. I remember many happy times at gatherings of friends when ideas would be flying around in the most wonderful exchange among exceptionally gifted intellectual people. I always felt privileged just to sit among them and absorb what they were saying; I just wish I had recordings of all that wit and wisdom. I think my Friday night essence would have to be connected to learning, since I loved school, and indeed had an English professor in college who set all of his students on fire with a love for learning. We would get off the subject a bit on different tangents with different approaches to the main topic, and when class came to an end, it was such a disappointment to have to leave! I learned so much medicine as a medical transcriptionist and truly loved my work. I had been primed for it as a youngster because I loved to read my dad’s medical journals just because the whole field fascinated me. I am retired now but would love to get back into transcription and proofing because I learned so much every day. Would also love to audit medical school classes and attend seminars for transcriptionists and other health care professionals. Am very much interested in meeting like-minded individuals in person at social and other Neo events.
