Senior years

My husband and I both had jobs that we were self leaders in. We loved our jobs and really hated to retire but the down sizing of company’s and our ages made them retire us. The government pretty much took our retirement funds when the 401k (stock market) went to zero. We lost almost all of our funds. Now we are dependent on Social security and small pensions. My question is how do we as senior citizens help to get government out of our personal lives. I e-mail my congressman and senators at least once a week saying if they had to live by the rules they put on us things would be different. I loved the three books and dream of the day that book three comes true.
