My Friday Night Essence

I spend most of my fridays writing new songs to be able to record in the future. But at times, i feel like that isn’t exactly my friday night essence. Perhaps it is because i’m more interested in the entire procedure of finishing and mastering a song, not just writing the lyrics and recording them. Does that mean that my friday night esssence would not make me fully happy until i see the entire song finished? And if so, how do i get the tools needed to produce and master a song to the point where i could be happy with it?
